When should I start having laser treatment?
If you are concerned about your hair the earlier you start laser treatment the better. There's nothing more ageing or detrimental to a person's appearance than thinning, lifeless hair. And the later you try to do something about it the less chance there is of reversing the problem. Once you start using your HairMax LaserComb, you may feel better about your appearance, and gain an added sense of self confidence.

Does the HairMax LaserComb work for everyone?
Just as fresh air and exercise is "good" for improving the appearance of the body, laser light energy is "good" for improving the appearance of your hair. Both men & women alike can benefit from the laser light energy provided by The HairMax LaserComb.

How do we lose our hair?
To understand how we lose our hair, we must first understand the life cycle of a normal hair. Each hair grows for a certain number of years and then dies. The root of the hair is in a state of sleep for a couple of weeks then another hair will start to grow. For certain people, progressively less hair will grow back. The hair that has fallen will be replaced by hair that will become paler and thinner with time.

Is it safe?
The type of laser phototherapy provided by the HairMax LaserComb has been used internationally in salons and hair clinics for many years to address a broad range of hair care applications. The HairMax LaserComb provides a power level of light energy that is safe, harmless and effective. The Hairmax Laser Comb conforms to the standards of security for lasers, section 21 and is approved by Health Canada (medical device 2-61237).

What about visual safety?
The HairMax Laser Comb has been specially designed using low power requirements, for maximum attention to visual safety.

How long does it take to see results?
Most individuals experience results in 12 weeks. For some, it may take even less time than that. Of course, everybody is different and individual results may vary.

Does it work on the entire head or only on the back?
The LaserComb may improve the appearance of the entire head: back, front, top and sides.

Can I use it with other treatments?
Yes. If you wish to continue using other treatments, you can. This should not impede your results with the HairMax LaserComb.

How does the low-intensity laser work?
There are a many theories on how the low-intensity laser works. Tissues and fluids from our bodies vibrate at similar frequencies as the red laser (low-intensity). Another theory is that our cells are largely dependant on each other for their health, hence they exchange energy and communicate with the surrounding cells. The cells communicate with each other through their plasma, this being done by their individual waves system.
